The Goal
An established 1940s Silk City-style diner located in Wisconsin’s Northwoods, the Delta Diner offers an eclectic menu and dining experience that — while featured for a national foodie audience on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives — has been a popular spot with locals since 2003. They came to us to help them develop a new proprietary system of packaged goods to be offered at the diner, through retail grocery distribution and online at deltadiner.com.

Setting the table by raising the bar
To complement the new packaged offerings — thoughtfully curated extensions of the diner menu and foodie experience — we established an elevated packaging platform that leaned heavily on their addition of on-site coffee roasting and shift to a coffee-forward diner experience overall. The intent? Positioning the retail experience as an opportunity for customers to extend the in-person experience to the home.
'Yummy' sounds all around
With the initial rollout featuring not just the diner’s customer-favorite coffees but a variety of sauces and rubs as well, initial response and demand was strong from current diner customers and retail grocery prospects alike. Beyond establishing a vibrant new personality for individual products in the diner’s diverse lineup, the design refresh ultimately helped to solidify and add value to an emerging, evolving brand.
