ALS Wisconsin Chapter – Evening of Hope

We are honored, and humbled, to have been selected to receive the 2016 Rebecca Bell-Barbie Award for our work with the ALS Association WI Chapter.

We are honored, and humbled, to have been selected to receive the 2016 Rebecca Bell-Barbie Award for our work with the ALS Association WI Chapter.

The 23rd annual Evening of Hope was attended by more than 700 supporters of ALS patients and their families at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee. To date, through monies raised at the Evening of Hope, the WI Chapter has directed more than $3.5 million to fund research leading to a treatment and cure for this always-fatal disease.

“We choose the recipient for the Rebecca Bell-Barbie Award looking at the entire year and asking who made the biggest difference and had the largest impact on our fight against ALS”, said ALS Assn. WI Chapter executive director Melanie Roach-Bekos. “There was no doubt that for 2015-2016, that person was Scott Bucher. He has taken our fight against ALS to a new level and continues to lead the way in all of our efforts. Scott and his team have stepped up as the ideal partners in this fight.”

It is going to take all of us, each and every one of us, to beat this horrific disease. All of us #vsALS.
