TRACTION FACTORY DESIGNS 50TH ANNIVERSARY JERSEYS TO BENEFIT SOWI
Our design boosted awareness and funds for SOWI athletes statewide.
This wasn’t your average black-tie fundraiser ball.
For the past 25 years, including the past 24 with presenting sponsor Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles, the MDA of Southern Wisconsin Black-N-Blue Ball has been one of the most successful fundraising events in Wisconsin and among all MDA chapters. Ditching formalwear for black leather and blue jeans, the event brings together businesses, bike lovers and neighbors to support children and families living with muscular dystrophy.
To commemorate the event’s 25th anniversary, MDA wanted to do something special to honor the legacy of the event and the generosity of the Southern Wisconsin community. That’s where Traction Factory came in.
Our team worked with MDA to rebrand this year’s event as the Black-N-Blue-N-Silver Ball to reflect the milestone of the 25th anniversary. In addition to the overall branding, we produced a 90-second video thanking sponsors and attendees for supporting MDA starring Reagan, a teenager living with muscular dystrophy. The video celebrates the independence these children and patients gain as a result of MDA’s work and event attendees’ generosity.
Traction Factory also assisted MDA in event planning and management and while handling the design and development of promotional items, invitations, website updates, event graphics and other materials. We even designed and commissioned custom table centerpieces from our friends at Scathain for use at the event and worked with Calibre, Inc. to fabricate a one-of-a-kind Harley-Davidson Sportster gas tank for auction.
Our goal was to ensure that each and every component reinforced how badass it is to give to MDA.
The result? The Black-N-Blue-N-Silver Ball raised a record-breaking $1.2 million from nearly 1,400 guests. It was a night to remember – and one that Traction Factory is proud to help bring to life for MDA.
